One for the ages.
One for the Ages
by Jeffery Page
Intro: Somewhere in a dark dingy bathroom in Los Angeles, CA the sounds of Pat Benetar’s Hit Be with You Best Shot is blasting with laughters while a man is left contemplating the decisions others have made around him and how that is about to change his life one way or another. Let’s peek in on this moment when even the darkest moments can be bright.
Is it the pitch? maybe just the Homerun. Either way it is the game. We are in it to win it. So it’s now time to win it. That seems to be the thoughts that come across his mind as he stares upon his youthful physique in the reflection of a dingy hole in the wall bathroom mirror. It’s time to walk out and turn your back. The story is ended. It’s done. I need to let them go. Granted I was naive. It is my fault. I called them friends. I fell for her. I chose to fall in love. I can forgive. Do I have to forget? Of course I do. It’s time to rise like that phoenix above the last plateau. It’s time to forget. The new story will be one for the ages. Just go. You can do it. Just keep moving. While leaning over the sink splashing some cold water on his face he said to himself, “NOW!”
Exiting out the bathroom with a glow of the bright 40 watt lightbulb cast a shadow of him over the bar just as Black Sabbath’s Iron Man starts on the old 60’s jukebox. The first step seems to be choreographed with the intro of the riff as with every step to the kick drum. He heads straight for the front door. No look to acknowledge anyone. Dead panned like a zombie with a one track mind. He opens the door to a beautiful summer sunset. His lady and gang look at him as he walks out of their lives without saying goodbye.
“I knew after how much we all took from him that he’d eventually ride off. Unfortunately that is the best ride I could have had.” The old lady said softly with a sigh.
“That’s not what you screamed last night.” yelled one of the other men lined up at the bar next to the old lady.
She replied back with distain, “That was only when he wanted me. He’s one for the ages. “
'“Who’s next?” , she yelled as the motor outside rumbled loudly and slowly faded in time as everything does.
the End.
Just a quick little story. I hope you all have a great Friday. Sincerely your friend Me aka Jeffery Page

Thoughts
If those around you don't practice what they preach. Then why would you hold anyone else accountable??? Especially yourself. . I don't care what anyone else is doing. I know what I'm doing. . . Everything from here on our will be done my way... . It's the only way.
Remember to stay phenomenal and to stay tuned… Thanks for visiting.
