4.11.2023 - The Coffee Made Me Do It. - Jeffery Page
Hello my fellow friends or fellow fiends, I’m currently sitting at this computer and working on some great projects that includes writing at the moment. Not to mention tons of art as always. I have no complaints other than not wanting to sleep as my mind is firing across the board in creativity at the moment. I have been tattooing quite a bit as of lately to. Some very cool projects definitely in the works. As for other art I am slowly adding more to the store as well other merchandise. Regardless of how you live to day I hope it’s by your design. Sincerely cheers. Your friend Me aka Jeffery Page
Black Drip by H.C. Nightshade
Dark and bitter, black as sin
A taste that lingers, on my tongue it pins
Hot like fire, digs deep within
A daily dose of caffeine, to numb the pain within
Black drip, bitter taste
Painful memories, we can't erase
A shot of espresso, to the heart we chase
Trying to find a way, to escape this place
Depression lingers, like the aftertaste
Invisible chains, that we can't seem to break
A shot of caffeine, we hope will replace
The emptiness we feel, as we try to escape
Black drip, bitter taste
Painful memories, we can't erase
A shot of espresso, to the heart we chase
Trying to find a way, to escape this place
We pour another cup and try our best
To fight the pain and win this lifelong quest
To find a way to live a life that's blessed
And leave behind the past that we detest
Black drip, bitter taste
Painful memories, we can't erase
A shot of espresso, to the heart we chase
Trying to find a way, to escape this place
Dark and bitter, black as sin
We take another sip, and try to begin
To face our demons, and let go of the pain within
And embrace the life, that we can win.
Grounds of Relief
The weight of life can wear us down
Especially when we're stuck on the ground
It's easy to feel like there's no way out
But there's hope, that's what we're about
The grounds of relief are calling out
From the strength of those who find a way out
Do not fear, just listen to the sound
The help you need is all around
Addiction and depression, they have us bound
But there's no shame in needing to be found
So reach out for help, don't be scared
The people who care are everywhere
The grounds of relief are calling out
From the strength of those who find a way out
Do not fear, just listen to the sound
The help you need is all around
It's hard to see a brighter day
When you're lost in the darkness of yesterday
But hold on to hope, it will light the way
To a life where you're not just stuck in the fray
The grounds of relief are calling out
From the strength of those who find a way out
Do not fear, just listen to the sound
The help you need is all around
So take that step, and reach out your hand
To those who will help you find a better land
The grounds of relief are here to stay
Just have hope and seize the day.
The Grind
Another day, another grind
The weight of life, it's hard to unwind
Every day just feels the same
The struggle constant, there's no escape in sight
The grind, it's wearing down
My mental health, it's on shaky ground
Feels like I'm barely hanging on
The grind, it never stops, it's never gone
Endless work from dusk till dawn
Constant stress, it feels so drawn
The pressure builds, can't take the heat
Feel like giving up, can't really compete
The grind, it's wearing down
My mental health, it's on shaky ground
Feels like I'm barely hanging on
The grind, it never stops, it's never gone
The pain I feel, it's too much to bear
I just wish life could be fair
But I still keep going and doing my thing
Hoping for a better tomorrow, a brand new spring
The grind, it's wearing down
My mental health, it's on shaky ground
Feels like I'm barely hanging on
The grind, it never stops, it's never gone
The grind, it's a part of life
But it doesn't mean we can't strive
For happiness, joy, and peace of mind
And maybe one day, we'll leave the grind behind.
Highs and Lows
High and low, it's all I know
A buzz and a jitter, my mind's aglow
A spliff and a hot cup of joe
Makes me feel alive, but then also so damn low
Under the influence of weed and coffee
A strange sensation, sometimes heady, sometimes just a little off me
High and low, it's a strange place to be
Where reality and fantasy become entwined for me
Sometimes my mind goes a million miles an hour
And sometimes I feel like I'm just stuck in the same old tower
But under the influence of green and caffeine
A new world opens up, where highs and lows intervene
Under the influence of weed and coffee
A strange sensation, sometimes heady, sometimes just a little off me
High and low, it's a strange place to be
Where reality and fantasy become entwined for me
But when the buzz wears off and the caffeine fades
I'm left with my thoughts and my mind's escapades
Sometimes it's hard to know what's real
But that's part of the charm of the way I feel
Under the influence of weed and coffee
A strange sensation, sometimes heady, sometimes just a little off me
High and low, it's a strange place to be
Where reality and fantasy become entwined for me
High and low, it's all I know
A buzz and a jitter, my mind's aglow
A spliff and a hot cup of joe
Makes me feel alive, but then also so damn low
The above poems were conceived over coffee and weed about the combos of the two and depression.
